Re: Yellowstone Fall 2018 Photos

Great photos -- make me homesick to be back in the park! I agree that mountain goat one is special, but also loved the two moose in the stream -- wonderful feeling of peace and beauty in that shot! Thanks.

Re: Comments Welcome: Why the lack of Interest or Participation on this website?

I assume others are right about facebook posting taking over. I feel badly about this, as I am not interested in establishing a facebook site (I know, I'm out of step with today, but I just don't want to be on facebook!) and thus can't participate fully with facebook sites. I loved this site (and st...

Great report and beautiful photos! I don't think I'll ever be up to that type of trip at this point, so I appreciate even more you sharing the experience with us. Thanks!

Thanks, lah. We were really excited about the elk activity we saw (and heard). Yellowstone is just such a magical place -- whenever you go, you see something fun and exciting and inspiring -- and different! I always appreciate your reports.

Re: October 6th and 7th

Sorry about the lack of great grey owls! But just think, when you finally DO see one (and you will) it will be all the sweeter and much more special. Thanks for the great photos and fun report. I loved the wolf pictures, even if they are far away. And jealous of your badger encounter. That's one of ...

There and back again, Sept. 26-Oct. 3, Part II

Second half of our report: Monday, Oct. 1<br/> Up early the next morning, figuring to get to Moose-Wilson by around sunrise ... BUT, we decided to turn up Gros Ventre when we got there, and it took some time to get to Moose-Wilson because we were deeply involved in seeing moose! A mom and this-year'...

There and back again, Sept. 26-Oct. 3, Part I

<t>We're baaaaack! Made it through our annual fall trip to Yellowstone/Grand Teton and had a great time, as usual. Not perhaps the volume of wildlife sightings that we've had at other times, but still, as we look back, there were lots of great moments and really lots of animals. This was a bit later...

Re: Sept 21-Sept 28

Thanks for the reply and the report. Sounds like there's quite a bit to see in GT. SO glad the bull elk made it across -- it's silly to be passing people along 89 in the early morning/pre-sunrise hours. That would have been scary. Wendy, hope you an hubby have a great trip up to Yellowstone and I WI...
