Re: Idaho moves to start Grizzly Bear Hunt in 2018
Pugman170, yes it's an absolute disgrace and should be a further wake up call, and graphic reminder of what the destructive "Tri State Agreement" is all about..... Trophy Killing off grizzlies to indulge the sorry Trophy Hunting Industry. ID is going to all these lengths for allegedly, ONE bear! Lau...

Mike, that's really intriguing news/development. Thanks for posting.

A message to Wyoming...Grizzly Bear Trophy Hunt
To all opposed, uniformed or uncertain of what is at stake. Your voice, effort and input is needed now more than ever! The near and long term opportunities to see or photo YST grizzlies will be seriously impaired following 2017 federal delisting and rapid 2018 onslaught of state trophy grizzly hunti...

Re: Proposed Tri State Trophy Grizzly Bear Hunts
Absarokanaut, I respect, but disagree with some of your opinions and no sir, I'm not "prejudiced to sportsman" as you incorrectly stated. In fact, just the opposite. I don't know where you came up with that "3/4 decline grizzly population." I'm not "pushing the goal posts," my concerns reside with h...

Proposed Tri State Trophy Grizzly Bear Hunts
As you may be aware, May 2017 the Grizzly Bear was sadly and perhaps, tragically delisted from all federal protection under Federal Law Endangered Species Act. I for one, strongly oppose the ESA delisting for a host of various reasons far too numerous to delve into with this post. Suffice to say, if...

Re: First Timers
SueB, Really good thoughts by rzipirate. Yes, for first timers and even repeat visitors Yst is overwhelming. Looking back I took four or five trips before I was fairly satisfied I knew the areas and opportunities. I don't know time of year you are planning, but be sure to factor weather if early/mid...

Re: Yellowstone 5/19/17
Jeff, Great pics and exciting encounter. I was in park around same time late May as you were and also got caught in that horrible traffic jam. I was changing lodging from West Yst up to Gardiner.....It took close to 7.5 hours just to make it to Mammoth!!! Glad you had some good hikes. I did too, but...
