Re: Yellowstone Angler Alert

Frankly, in my opinion all of your anguish about the increased cost of fishing licenses is misplaced. It is trivial compared to the cost of sleeping and eating in the park if you are not a camper. Look at the price of accommodations inside the park. For my fall trip I'm paying double what I paid for...

Re: Bechler River Hike......and what campgrounds are open?

The Lone Star fire has temporarily closed the Grand Loop Road between Old Faithful and West Thumb, along with many trails and campsites in the area. It is unknown at this time how long that fire will burn and which direction it will burn. At this time, fire suppression will be focused on the infrast...

Terrific photos; thanks for posting them. Many folks would be happy to have a fraction of those good shots. The wolf couple photo is great.

Looks like you had a wonderful and very memorable visit to Wonderland!

Re: Hi and some questions about Yellowstone

Welcome to the forum. If you are anywhere near a Recreational Equipment (REI) store I recommend you go there for your camping equipment purchases. They are a membership co-op and the staff in these stores is always very helpful in selecting equipment. I've been a member for 45 years and all of my ca...

Re: Sinclair station in Gardiner closed

Wow, that was my go-to gas station when I was in the Mammoth area. Always sad to see less competition and I'm sure it hits the locals really hard.

Re: Where is everyone?

I belong to multiple forum sites, not just Yellowstone-related, and they are all suffering from the competition for content with Facebook. It's just a fact of life these days. I'm not on Facebook by choice. I just don't like the guy running it and his wily ways. I do read some of the publicly-visibl...
