Re: Trip Report May 9

lol again. I wonder how many times we crossed paths. I spent Sunday going from mammoth to Sylvan pass and back. I got a couple of decent shots, albeit at a distance, of the great grey owl at Fishing Bridge junction that morning.

Re: Trip Report May 10

Lol, I'm going through your trip reports backwards. I spent Monday at Sheepeater Cliff with a pika, then down to the Madison. I got delayed watching nothing on the carcass there, then backtracked back to the west entrance to report someone flying a drone at Madison Junction. The delay caused me to g...

Re: Trip Report May 14

I was there when the coyote crossed. I had to pack my stuff in Mammoth that morning (heading to GTNP via a side trip to Lake Butte to look for Raspberry and Snow), so I was too late to see the wolves. Will try to write up a brief trip report when I get home in a week or two.

Sandwedge, can I ride with you next trip? :D It seems like you have some great timing for arrival to the park!
Of course! But I think I used all my good luck on that one time. I can almost guarantee a marmot sighting on Pilgrim Creek Road, though!

Re: Best shots of 2020

Wow, those are some great shots! Thanks! I have to tell the story about the first two (610 and one of her cubs): My friend and I drove 1600 miles from Louisiana, 2 and a half days, and entered GTNP via Moran. We were tired and still didn't have a place to camp, so we were in a hurry to get to West ...

Re: May 18 through 28th

I just went through the same thing, as my reservations at Old Faithful Inn (May 17-18) and Mammoth Cabins (May 19-22) got cancelled. I found a reasonable place in West Yellowstone for the 17-19th, and since I was already planning on camping the next week, I just moved those reservations up a few day...

Re: Best shots of 2020

Nice shots, Rick. I'm still looking forward to my first close up shots of wolves. Is that "Snow" on snow? I haven't seen her since 2017, but I did get to see Raspberry and her coy last summer. I'll be out there in mid-May this year and will surely be on the lookout for them. Sure would like to see S...

Re: Your Best of 2019

A little late to the party, but I forgot my password and couldn't sign in for a good while. My trip in 2019 was special because I was able to take my teenage daughter for her first trip. It wasn't specifically a photography trip, but I still managed to get a few good shots. 1. We were welcomed at Ma...

Re: End of May, 2017

Nice shots! I always joke that the geese in the park are jealous of all the other animals getting their photo taken. Looks like they are photobombing your shot of the coyote!
