Re: East entrance road closure 27 May 2018 (not June, typo corrected)

Thanks for the update. We are heading to YNP on Friday the 1st, arriving the 3rd for a hopefully glorious week.
And I understand the fingers. If it were not for the delete key my posts would be twice as long. Never type correctly the first time.
You intentions are well met though. Thanks again!

Re: Trip Report May 24-26

Jeepers, Thanks for the reply. I have hiked that short but steep trail up to trout Lake several times with no luck. The running joke with my family is that otters and Pikas are mythical little beasts that only exist in my "need to Photograph"List. : We are arriving in the park on the afternoon of Ju...

Re: Belted Kingfisher-Female

Nice shot and I am jealous as can be. I see Kingfishers pretty regularly in my area. Problem is they are skittish as all get out and never sit still long enough to get a shot. Well Done!

Rik, I forgot to mention how great the shots are. Really show how colorful those little guys are!

Re: American kestrels

I was wondering the same thing. They used to nest right by the road and there was a nice pullout across the road to stop and get pictures from.
