I am saddened to hear this news. I met Dave in 1999, on the side of the mountain overlooking the Lamar Valley, He, John Uhler and I cussed and discussed the politics of Yellowstone. I participated in many discussions with Dave and other folks. RIP, Dave. You will be missed. My condolences to Debbie ...

Pretty sure it was June of 2012, north of Dunraven Pass, pretty close to the winter carcass dump site.
