Re: Yellowstone Trip Report - June 13 thru July 12, 2019

It does sound like a strange trip. Even in Florida the weather was very different this year until mid July. Messed up my April, May and June fishing. Maybe they need to hire some different campground host. I will take it :D

35 SLR and digital compatability

Is it possible to match a zoom from a 35 SLR telephoto zoom to a digital camera? If yes where would be the best place to do this? I'd rather not just order a camera without test fitting it if possible. TIA

Re: Camping near Cooke City

Thanks Yellvet, I have had a change of plans on my dates. I have to move from June until Sept. I had great luck with all my reservations stops just switching forward and even came out better in Yellowstone as I was able to get in Canyon CG. I am still stopping outside the NE entrance for at least th...

Re: Camping advice

I ran into the same problem on the NF campgrounds along the Beartooth as you will. They are not open that early. Great camping but just too early. That's how I ran across Big Moose Resort.

Re: Camping advice

Like you, I have camped in Yellowstone quite a few times and have never had reservations except our first trip at Fishing Bridge. We have always just arrived early and always gotten a site. Only once I was tent camping, which gives you the best chance, otherwise I was in a small motorhome Of course ...

Re: Camping near Cooke City

Thanks, it will be about June 12th. Soda Butte and the other campgrounds around Cooke City are saying opening is July 1 so I'm hoping I can just disperse camp. Got all I need for it. I have backup reservations in the park but not where I need them for the northern half. Heading toward the park would...
