Re: Belted Kingfisher-Female

What a great photo! I've been looking for Kingfishers for years, and caught one diving in and out of the water near the Warm Springs in Grand Teton, but too far away and too dark to get much more than a vague shape that says is IS a Kingfisher. So I'm extra-loving this shot. Just wow! Thanks for sha...

Re: Max's Spring 2018 Trip Report: Prologue (May 25 - 27)

Great report! I've never tried Market Lake or Camas National Wildlife Refuges but they sound like a lot of fun. Wonder if we should try a quick detour to one or the other (or both) on our way up to Yellowstone for our upcoming trip. I looked it up and it doesn't seem like a really long detour to spe...

Re: Trip May 20-23

What a great story! We have never made it to Trout Lake, but always wanted to, and if there is a chance of seeing an otter or two ... well ... How long is the hike from the Trout Lake trail head? I'd love to give it a try. Anyway, thanks for sharing, loved the report! And congrats on the otters (and...

Re: Trip Report May 24-26

What a great report! You saw SO many great sights, and you really have a way of helping me see what you are seeing. It was a fun read! We'll be heading up there in a while and hope we can see even half as much as you did (well, actually, hope was see at least as much, or more, but ... :D :D). Quick ...

So cute! Thanks for the photos. Are those badgers visible from the Hitching Post pullout? I may be willing to wait for several hours for a chance to see this! But if I don't get a chance to see this, thanks for the photos! They are great!

Re: May 24, 2018

What a great report! Thanks so much for sharing. I know the feeling of figuring my photos aren't all that good -- sometimes I'm right, sometimes they are better than I thought, but the biggest thing is that you actually saw these animals and experienced that! The photos will always be good enough be...

Re: Kestrel

And this is GORGEOUS. I have been trying SO long to get a great Kestrel shot -- I've managed a few good ones, but nothing approaching this. Thanks for sharing!
