Coyote on the Madison

Was waiting for Beryl Springs Grizz to come out back in May when this coyote started trotting down along the river searching nests for eggs. http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542279.jpg http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542280.jpg http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542281.jpg http:/...

Blondie and Cubs from the spring

I had a brief experience watching Blondie and her cubs in the Tetons back in May. I would have stayed longer, but I didn't get to spend as much time in the Tetons as I would have liked. http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542510.jpg http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542511.jpg http://www.p...

Black bears on the Tower Road.

There were nine different black bear on the road between Roosevelt Junction and Calcite Springs when I was in the park in mid May. The only ones I didn't get good shots of was the sow with three cubs because I wasn't willing to spend all day waiting on her. Here are some of the ones I did see. http:...

My advice? Go to a pullout in Little America and walk off-trail about a mile.

Love the reports, Max, Looks like you're getting a lot done.
Wow, big cinnamon bear, and at Sheepeater. I saw would for some reason not expect a black bear there.
I saw one just past Sheepeater a couple years ago, a cinnamon.

Fox at Rainy Lake

I waited for hours down at Rainy Lake this day for the sow with the three cubs.  She never came out while I was there but this fox did.   http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542299.jpg   http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542297.jpg   http://www.pbase.com/rikwriter/image/167542301.jpg   h...

Re: Grizzly 815 and her cub

I've been home since Monday. When I was there I saw a young Grizzly boar walking down the middle of the road between Swan Lake flats and the Upper Terrace at Mammoth.
