Re: Lamar River Crossing

I don't think there is a bridge. You know about the one at the confluence over Soda Butte creek. Probably a pretty risky ford across the Lamar.
You can come in the other way at the trail head in Little America.

Re: Visiting in May

Probably not. They will close the roads if it snows very much.

Re: Visiting in May

First off, the road from Tower to Canyon will still be closed, so be aware of that. Beartooth hwy closed as well, if you were thinking about that. New snow can close any of the roads that are open at any time. Most of the hiking trails in the north part of the park should be open and snow free. Trou...

Re: Wolves on Elk Refuge web cam?

I've been watching both cams fairly often. Seen wolves twice, coyotes numerous times AND I think we missed out on a lion yesterday. There was a kill kinda of behind and south of the wildlife museum. The cam operator was searching for a long time to find it. He kept the cam pointed at a small patch o...

Re: Comments Welcome: Why the lack of Interest or Participation on this website?

Everybody that used to post here are now posting on several different Facebook YNP pages/groups. This page and others like it have been in decline for about 10 years; slowly fading away. When this page went dark a couple of years ago from the ransom ware attack, everybody moved on and never came back.

Re: Help Needed from Nikon/Photoshop users

Yea, that file. The 8b whatever. It's been a real long time since I did it. The last time I tried was with CS4. I tried to get the newer 8bi file and they changed how it's done. Tried both ways and neither worked. I haven't tried Topaz Studio but do use Topaz Adjust and love it. Hated using dng file...

Re: Help Needed from Nikon/Photoshop users

The plugin is probably incompatible with CS2. Adobe changed the way that they update the raw files plugin. CS2 would use the old way, and I think they changed somewhere around CS5 or 6. It used to be a totally manual operation. You'd go into window and find the file in CS2, drag it out of there and ...

Re: Itinerary Help Please

I'd go with your Jackson plan and spend another night at Swiftcurrent. There's more trails in that area than you'll ever do. Might want to drive to Polebridge and Kintla lake on the west side of Glacier.
