Brazil 2018 Wildlife & Scenery

Here's the second part of my Brazil experience this year, featuring the non-bird life. It was a pretty spectacular trip. Our visit to the Amazon yielded a lot of great mammal sightings, including one of the rarest finds of my career and several primates. In all, we saw eleven different monkey specie...

Pre-Owned Camera Gear For Sale

I'm selling off some gear, including a camera body, travel storage device, a few different photo packs and some other accessories. http://www.maxwaugh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/2018holidaysale-used.jpg A few of these items have been used quite a bit over the years, but there are several that ha...

Brazil 2018 Birds

Apparently I forgot to share some of my images from my July/August Brazil trip here. This was my first time leading a tour in Brazil after scouting it last year. My group and I started out in the southern Amazon before moving on the Pantanal in western Brazil. Both areas were excellent for bird sigh...

Re: Brief Estes Park trip pics

Really nice shot of the bull exhibiting the Flehmen Response (or perhaps bugling?). The precipitation adds some nice texture.

2019 Calendar Images

As always, I like to share a few of the calendar images I've picked out for my Yellowstone-related themes. I do a Yellowstone theme each year with new photos, and decided to add a separate Yellowstone Birds calendar this year. The Weasel & Mongoose calendar also has a few GYE species. Great blue her...

Re: Yellowstone Fall 2018 Photos

Thanks Linda. It's always hit or miss with them, and we barely got those two when a client spotted them near the road on our way back down. I couldn't believe they still had remnants of their old coats clinging on at that point... normally in fall they're looking quite handsome (barring a radio coll...

Re: Great Grey Owls

Nice that you found them. We spent all our time scouring the edges of the first meadow on the PV trail... never went into the far trees to look further. Maybe that's why we struck out.

Re: Flickr new account policy announced...

It's probably only a big deal to those who use Flickr for storage. I ditched Pro last year when I finally realized all I was paying for was storage I didn't need. I just went through and culled a number of images to get below 1000, and I'll do it again down the road. I use Flickr as another way of s...
