Re: Yellowstone & Tetons June 8-13

Wow, what a GREAT report! Sounds like we were there just a tad early to see all the COYs -- must have been up trees when we were there. And TWIN moose calves!??!?!?!? Incredible. Sounds like you had an awesome trip. AND 399 and cubs??!?!? Just unbelievable. I have a couple of days off next week and ...

Re: Snow (the grizzly)

I'm sure it was Snow that we saw near Lake Butte overlook when we were there -- a very pretty bear! There were people parked along the road and a ranger was there, but she didn't haze the bear back from the road (at least, not while we were there). She was down in a gully, but at times was moving ne...

Re: Late May/early June trip

About Two Ocean Lake road -- it's a gravel road, narrow and winding, and sometimes is pretty rutted, but this year it was actually pretty good. It's only about, what, 2-3 miles long and ends up at the lake, which has a trail leading to Matilda Lake, I think. I'm told that it's one of the areas with ...

Late May/early June trip

Thanks to everyone for their trip reports and photos! I have really been enjoying them. Thought I'd contribute what I can, although I still have no way to include photos. We headed to Grand Teton by way of Seedskadee on May 29, my sister and I with our 30-something niece who had NEVER been to either...

Re: Grand Teton May 24 and 30

Wonderful report and great photos! We may have actually been there in the crowd when you saw 610 and the cubs and Blondie's two kicked-out cubs, as we saw both of them on Saturday, May 30. Wish we could have connected! When you guys saw 610, was there a big cinnamon black bear over to the North of t...

Re: Grand Teton and Yellowstone May 18, 19

Actually, haven't been there yet -- I meant the coming weekend (end of May) rather than the 23-24th weekend, but glad to know she's stil out and about a bit. We are SO looking forward to getting up there, and trying not to pin our hopes on seeing 399 and cubs too much -- but can't help but hope! I f...

Re: Grand Teton and Yellowstone May 18, 19

Thanks for the report! Nice photos, too. So appreciate you sharing this with us. Now I'm anticipating even more getting up there next weekend. Glad the Harlequins are at LeHardy, as I always look forward to the chance to get a glimpse of them. And bears! Bears of any kind are always great, and the c...

Re: March Trip to Southern Utah

What gorgeous photos! I love Southern Utah (after all, Utah is my home!) -- haven't been there for a few years now and it's about time to go back again. Goblin Valley is a particular favorite -- well, as are all the other places. Thanks for the beautiful reminder of my own beautiful state! P.S. Hope...

Re: Harriman and Henry's Lake Idaho

WooHoo! Both are good news, as we have plans to stay in Gardiner starting on June 1 and then figured to drive up to Market Lake for a quick drive-through on our way home later in the week. It will likely be VERY crowded, but good news that we'll be able to get in and out of the park. Thanks for the ...
