Re: Quick in and out March 12

Thanks for the report, Guys. I bet we drove pretty close to your house when we were driving home from SoCal last week. We usually drive by Henry's Lake on Hwy 20. Yeah, you were about three miles away. Glad your back safe to the beautiful land even though now is probably the ugliest time of the yea...

Re: Bathrooms Open in April

I believe the bathrooms at Roosevelt, Slough Creek, and Pebble Creek are open. And, of course, the bathrooms at Mammoth are open as well. I'm sure there are others, but I can't personally verify. But that should give you a pretty good shot at being comfortable as you traverse the Northern Section ;)...

Re: Breaking News.... NO GRIZZLY HUNT! Grizzly Bears Protected again....

Thanks, Yellvet, for the update on the proposed legislation. That would be great if this passes. There should be a buffer zone for the apex predators around the parks. I give Montana credit for taking a look at this as. Hopefully, Wyoming and Idaho will do the same.

Re: Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon

Yellvet, thanks for the moon pictures. We were able to see it here in Colorado, but it was nice to see the view from Southern Cal. I lived in Orange County for several years in the 80's.

Re: July Visit -- Planning Help

This should be a great experience for you and your son. Just a couple of thoughts and suggestions. Is your son up for a 3-4 day backpacking trip his first time out? As a former teacher, I know that some kids can be very enthusiastic about a trip like this, but tire of it very quickly. You know your ...

Re: Spring is Here

Mike, Karen and I were just there last Tuesday for a quick drive in and out (see our trip report) Sorry to say, I think there is more snow this year than last. At least a foot in Mammoth and close to two feet in Lamar. The good news is there has been some warmer, sunny days recently so that should s...

Quick in and out March 12

Made a short trip into the park and thought some of you might like a report of the conditions. This past week we headed to our cabin near Henry's Lake in Idaho to do some snow shoveling. We were concerned by the weather reports we had seen since January about the amount of snow that could be on our ...

Great shots. I especially like the mousing coyote, GGO, and Grizzlies. If I ever figure out how to post pictures, I'll throw a few on.

Happy new year to all!

We will be making a quick trip to our place in Idaho later this month to shovel snow. We plan on making a drive through the parks and we will post what we see on trip reports.

Re: Brief Estes Park trip pics

Thanks for posting the pictures. We live about an hour away from Estes so we get a chance to visit the park quite often. The bull shot bugling is really cool.
