Re: In Park Update

Thanks for the update, Mike. I almost went to the Park for a few days but decided to stay home because of the bad weather that was supposed to move in last night. Today it's very cold and raining. Bad weather doesn't affect the wildlife, so I hope you'll be blessed with lots of great photo ops while...

Re: YNP Campgrounds Going Reservation 2021

I wouldn't be at all surprised if scalpers have already begun selling reserved Yellowstone camp sites online at outrageous prices. Check out the link below to see what's been going on in Yosemite: https://yosemitenews.info/forum/read.php?3,33915,33945

Re: Yellowstone Angler Alert

Mike, Yellowstone has always had its own fishing permit. MT and WY also have their own state fishing licenses for residents and non-residents. In MT, resident seniors get a huge price break on their fishing licenses. You might like to read the following article that's in the Sheridan WY newspaper on...

Re: YNP Campgrounds Going Reservation 2021

Mike, with Indian Creek being the only CG that's going to be First Come-First Serve this summer, I bet the road from Mammoth to Norris that passes by the entry to the Indian Creek CG, is going to be one big traffic jam.....and when you're on vacation, the last thing people want or need is the govt t...

Yellowstone Angler Alert

I know that many of you are avid Yellowstone anglers. So, I wanted to give you a heads up that the Park has bumped its 2021 rates for fishing licenses: A 3-day YNP license is now $40, a 7 day license is $55, and a season license is $75......almost double what it was last year ($40). :o So ya still w...

Re: YNP Campgrounds Going Reservation 2021

Half the fun, adventure and enjoyment for most new and repeat Park visitors is spending time in different areas of the Park and at different campgrounds so they can explore the Park at their leisure or get the "poop"from the locals and longtime Park visitors on where to go to see specific wildlife, ...

Re: YNP Campgrounds Going Reservation 2021

The past couple weeks, I've been getting phone calls from several of my longtime Yellowstone friends from all over the country about the Park's new campground reservation system for 2021, for some of the campgrounds (like Slough Creek). Sadly, I have yet to hear or read about how the Park's new rese...

Re: Wolverine spotted in Yellowstone- check out this link

The one I saw, was south of Mammoth. Sorry, but that's all I'm going to say, out of respect for the wolverine. Hope you understand. pj

Re: Considering moving to Wyoming

Rik, if you do a Google Search using the phrase "Pharmacist job openings in MT (or WY), you'll find a number of openings. Lots of pharmacist job openings right now because of Covid. As far as taxes goes, WY probably has the lowest overall tax burden in the country for residents. MT on the other hand...
