Re: May 22, 2018

Mike, thanks for posting...sounds pretty encouraging, at least, for now. Personally, I'm going to reserve judgement on Flickr's performance until we get a bit further down the road....6 months or perhaps a year. This should give Flickr and SmugMug plenty of time to work out all the kinks/account pro...

Re: May 22, 2018

Linda, thanks for the report. I've had problems, off and on, with Flickr for quite some time. That's why I was considering looking for a new site for posting/hosting my pix....got tired of identifying buses, street/road signs, cars and trucks just to get a fuzzy, hard-to-read verification code that ...

I'm so glad that you decided to get the 600 . You won't regret it! It's been on my "drool list" ever since it came out. The carry weight, was the only thing that kept me from getting one, especially, when I started having some health problems. But I'm getting better with each passing day, so the 600...

Re: Trip Report 4/26 to 5/6

Thanks for sharing your trip report, Mike. Wish the weather had been better for you. We had hail at our house, too. No damage, though. May weather is always so unpredictable. But rain never seems to slow down the critters. Glad you got to see as many animals as you did.

Re: Quick spring trip 5/8-5/12

Dorothy, what a great report! I could feel your excitement and sense of awe and wonderment in every word. Bears, bison and playful little red dogs, grouse and eagles, moose, elk and wolves and the mighty bighorn rams. Oh my! It doesn't get any better than that! Sounds like you had a wonderful time, ...

Re: Help Needed from Nikon/Photoshop users

Mike, have you checked the Adobe compatibility chart that lists all the Nikon cameras by model and the camera's compatibility with the Adobe Camera Raw and DNG converter programs? The D7200 has been around for awhile, so you may need to upgrade your software. Here the link to Adobe's compatibility c...

MT OSPREY PROJECT - Live Webcam

Thought I'd pass on the link to the dual 24/7 live streaming webcams that are monitoring the Hellgate Osprey nest in Missoula, MT. This is my second year watching the nest....pretty interesting to watch Lewis and Iris as they try to have another family. If you're interested in watching all the actio...

Re: Can't access this site from home

Sorry you're having problems, Rik. Most likely, it's a Frontier problem! The company has had non-stop Fios Cable, billing and Internet problems across the country ever since it acquired Verizon. We had the same problem at our house in SoCal, as did most of our neighbors. It wasn't until Frontier rel...

Re: any news for upcoming visit

At the moment, it looks like Gardiner (north gate of Yellowstone) will be getting some nice weather from mid May almost to the end of the month. However, the Beartooth Mountains have always gotten a significant amount of rain in May. So my advice is to bring along some warm clothing and some good ra...

Re: Tell your coolest Yellowstone experience

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the story. When I re-read my post, it had me tearing up, too. A lot of years have passed by since I witnessed the moose calf rescue at Slough Creek. But hopefully, I'll be able to pass on the same kind of love, respect and appreciation of wildlife, that I have, to my 2 g...
