Re: Question for Canon 5D3 & 7D users
I hear ya! I've got 4 cameras that I use and a camera bag that's used exclusively for storing the different camera batteries and chargers. The two reasons why I bought my FTC passenger wagon (van) back in 2011 was because it seemed like the perfect vehicle for a solo Yellowstone camping photographer...

Re: Question for Canon 5D3 & 7D users
Loonphotog, I charged one of my STK batteries early yesterday morning. I bought 2 new ones in June 2017. Took a walk along the River to photograph some geese after the battery was fully charged. And my 5D3 ran great. However, I just checked the battery again (less than 24 hrs later)and now it's almo...

Re: Harlequin Ducks
Max is right. I think your best bet would be in May. I looked for the Harlequins for years in June but only saw them once. I was always a bit too late. However I've often seen the great blue herons and their colony of nests just north of LeHardy Rapids....very cool. You'll also find a few trumpeter ...

Re: Camping advice
It's usually pretty tough finding a site at any campground over Memorial Day, either in or outside the Parks. And, historically, the weather can also be a bit uncooperative over Memorial Day weekend. That being the case, I would highly recommend staying at a large campground for your first couple of...

Re: How about a BEAR FRIDAY again?
What a wonderful shot, Linda! Here's a Sept. 2005 pic of "Boo Boo", one of Rosie's cubs that year. Looks like Rosie's genes were pretty dominant in all her cubs. She was such a prolific mom... nurturing, teaching life skills and survival lessons to her cubs, and protecting and fighting for them, unt...

Re: Brazil 2017 Birds
Max, below is a link that shows some Google images of the Black-necked Stilts in MT. Thought this approach would be much faster than trying to go through all my bird images that I've taken over the years. The birds look very similar. What do ya think? Do you think that they're related? Just read tha...

Re: Brazil 2017 Birds
Max, your images are stunning! The Pied Lapwing looks almost identical to the Black-necked Stilts that occasionally pass through MT. I've only seen them twice...once along the Stillwater River near Nye and once at Swan Lake Flat in the Park. Sightings have been on the decline in MT in recent years a...

Question for Canon 5D3 & 7D users
I've got a Canon 5D3 and a 7D. I also have several older Pearstone LP-E6 batteries that I can use with either camera and a Pearstone AC/DC battery charger that I've used for several years to charge the Pearstone batteries in my vehicle/trailer. Since I'd Iike to replace the Pearstone batteries becau...

Re: How about a BEAR FRIDAY again?
Sorry I was late posting my bear shots. Guess I was having too much time (and fun) on my walk down memory lane.
