Re: RIP River Road
I was there on this road about the time you posted this. It is open to Bar B C Ranch on the south and open to the north to where it branches. You can go further north and down to the snake river at the the Y in the road, with the right leg of the Y being closed. It looks like they could really open ...

Re: Northern Hawk Owl
I was there on Jan 31, Feb 1, and Feb 3. I was fortunate enough to find 4 GGO's, the NHO, a Boreal Owl and a variety of little birds. I was disappointed we didn't see any mammals.I was hoping for Pine Martin and Porcupine. I have been seeing they have been scarce since then.

Re: Northern Hawk Owl
Great images! I just found my first NHO in Sax-Zim Bog last week. They are cool. Once I get set-up to post images here I will.

Re: Vacation ideas
Last year we did a tour of the Pacific northwest with our first stop being Jackson. We were fortunate enough to find a mother Grizzly and cub to photograph (Willow and Digger if you follow facebook) From there we went to northern Washington, down the pacific coast to Monterey and back home. We drove...
