Re: Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon
Nice pictures. I live in Northern Utah clouds are always a problem. I hope it's OK if I post my image. I had 10 min. to get it then the clouds came in. I can not get an image code from my blog so here is the link if you would like to look.

Re: Hiking (June) with good wildlife sighting opportunities
You mentioned a couple of good hikes maybe add the south rim trail or heart lake. I’ll be in the Park the first week of June. The Washburn trail is rarely open by then but you might have some luck. As far as bears on the trails, always carry bear spray maybe two cans. I lost a good friend and fellow...

Re: photography tour in June (5.-18.)
It’s always fun to take a hike or two or three but if your main intent is to focus on animals then I’d stick with the car. Many of the trails will be closed because of bear activity. I’ll be in the Park the same time you are and I’ll hike trout lake, buck lake trail. I’ll walk around Canyon junction...

Re: Late August-early Sept. trip -- things to know?
Oh yes, you can look at the ynp website to look for road closure dates. I have been during late October and have had no problems. In October the wildlife sightings decrease significantly for many species but wolf activities pick up. In Oct. you have to contend with weather and finding a place to sta...

Re: Late August-early Sept. trip -- things to know?
The elk rut usually starts around the the second week of September but it is often weather dependent. It often needs to cool off a bit. As far as crowds they will thin a little because many kids will be back in school by September but it will still be crowded. Bears are busy stuffing themselves for ...
