Re: Mike Enzi op-ed on raising NP entrance fees
I also agree to raise the International tourist fees. When I visit the South African National Parks I pay 4.5 times the entry fee of a South African national and don't mind at all knowing I am helping these Parks survive for future generations. In addition to raising fees how about some camera trap...

Re: Late May/early June trip
Thanks for the great report! Just curious about Two Ocean Lake Road. What manner of vehicles can drive on it? Thanks much. I think nothing above two axles. Lol, thanks, but what I'm trying to get at is, do you need 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive? Can you do it with a front wheel drive CUV? It's n...

Re: Mike Enzi op-ed on raising NP entrance fees
I agree with raising the fee for foreign visitors, and I'd particularly like to see a HUGE rate increase for bus tours. If tour buses are going to be allowed into the park, they need to have some big-ass fines leveed on them for stopping ANYWHERE except pullouts big enough to accept them. I have see...

Re: Late May/early June trip
Glad you had a good time! I envy you the badger! Really sucks about the road from Roosevelt to Tower being closed. Are they allowing people to hike up it or is it closed to all activity?

She's a little too young for her first litter, I think. Maybe 1-2 more years.Nikon_nerd wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 2:51 pmWow, she's as pretty as ever. Surprised she didn't have her own cubs this year. Thanks for posting the images. She is one of the prettiest Yellowstone grizzlies.

Beaver babies
The beavers took advantage of the fact that Colter Bay Marina was closed and built a dam over two of the docks there. A couple of the babies came out one evening while I was there. (I had to wait 4 hours for it.) https://pbase.com/rikwriter/image/170780839.jpg https://pbase.com/rikwriter/image/17078...

Grizzlies of the East Gate
I saw about 9 grizzlies from the East Gate through past the Pahaska Tepee while I was there. A lot were far away, but I got some good shots of these three. https://pbase.com/rikwriter/image/170768941.jpg https://pbase.com/rikwriter/image/170780477.jpg https://pbase.com/rikwriter/image/170780469.jpg ...

Snow (the grizzly)
While I was there, I got a chance to see Snow up between Sylvan Lake and Lake Butte Overlook one morning. Later in the week, I witnessed the rangers hazing her away from the road with firecracker rounds from a shotgun. She's never caused any trouble and I have to wonder if they're doing it for...
