They're endangered in Florida due to habitat loss.

Taken with a Sony a9 and 200-600 lens.

It wasn't euthanized by the park service, it was euthanized by Wyoming Fish and Game. It wasn't in the Tetons, it was in Jackson.

It's a dumbass, knee-jerk response that will do nothing to help the problem.

Yeah, they've been doing the same thing in the Lamar. It's disgusting and I wish I had the power to fire whatever idiot is responsible for it.

He'd been relocated once, up to the Fishing Bridge/Lake area of Yellowstone, but he made his way straight back to the Tetons. I think they should have taken him to the Lamar.

Unfortunately, the male pair of those two subadults you were watching (one of 610's cubs) was killed by Wyoming Fish and Wildlife a few days later after getting into the garbage in a residential yard near Jackson.

Market Lake is a pretty cool place. I need to get back there sometime.

Ideally, I'd like to see a free bus service taking people from parking lots at Mammoth to other parts of the park like Old Faithful, Lake, Canyon, etc... It would cut down on the car traffic. I'd agree with such a bus service for your garden variety tourists who just want to see those big attractio...
