Glad to have you posting here again, Dave.
I don't care what equipment you use, the results are always great.

Re: My Yellowstone Animal Wishlist

I don't think I've seen any of the animals you listed in the park, and it would be great to be able to see them.
My biggest goal would be to see any of the big cats, cougar, bobcat or lynx.

Wow, those are great pictures! Be proud of yourself for capturing them.
And thanks for posting. The geysers are beautiful, and those shots of the wolves are memorable.

Re: Yellowstone Winter 2018 Trip Report, Days 0-14 (1/21-2/4)

Sorry you're not seeing a lot of what you're looking for, but I would sure enjoy being able to make the whole south loop in winter like you did, and even out to the bays. I enjoy those areas in the summer. In winter, I would guess it's great scenery, even if there aren't too many animals to photogra...

Great day! Nice otter shot. And I never get a shot of magpies, even though I see them all the time. The ones around here don't let me close enough. That's a wonderful picture.
Can't wait for those cougar shots. So exciting.

Re: Yellowstone Winter 2018 Trip Report, Days 0-3 (1/21-24)

That dipper is really giving you the eye. Glad you got the cross-fox shot, even if it was distant. About 5 years ago, while riding my horse here in Utah. a cross-fox came up out of a very steep, wooded area on a narrow trail about 5 feet from the horse. It was carrying dinner. We were all shocked to...

Re: Yellowstone Winter 2018 Trip Report, Days 0 & 1 (1/21 & 22)

Thanks, Max. Makes me feel like I'm in the park again, too. Sort of. Glad the shutdown ended quickly.
Can't wait for more good stuff from you.
