To get things started, I'm featuring some photos and links to galleries from some of my professional peers. These photographers' year-end galleries include photos from the Americas, Africa and Asia, and contain some really fine work.

Check them out here.

I wish I had something good to contribute, but honestly I didn't do much photography this year outside Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
I took a few shots in Costa Rica, but none were that great.

Rick, when were you there, and where did you go (aside from what looks like the Rio Tarcoles)?

I was there in June with my family. The macaw was from Playa Blanca. We went to Los Lagos, Monte Verde and the Jaco area.

Unlucky vole at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art in Ogunquit, Maine.

I don't usually carry a 100-400 zoom to an art museum, but after seeing what I thought was a sculpture of a Great Blue Heron move slowly towards the reeds of the lily pond, I thought it might come in handy.

Here's my favorite wildlife image from 2017. This was during the Patagonia tour I lead in May (which Tim V wrote about earlier in this forum).

My best non-Yellowstone photos came from a road trip to Alaska.
