Best of 2017

Post by Max »

How about a thread to share your favorite Yellowstone/Teton images from the past twelve months. When we've done this in the past we've tried to limit it to one image, but I'm sure folks won't mind if you share a couple.

I'll also start a thread for favorite Non-GYE photos in the Non-YS forum.

May 2017
Obsidian-area sow and cub came right at me while I was in the car.

Not great pictures but interesting to watch deer chasing coyote, coyote chasing deer, back and forth for 45+ minutes.

It was a quiet Yellowstone year for me, but I had a couple of shots make my "Best of 2017" list. This marmot in the Beartooth stood up just in the right spot.

Great shot Max.

Marmots are one of my favorite subjects to shoot. The expressions are always so comical.

These two are probably my favorites from May last year. Don't know that I'll be able to make it back in 2018 though. If I do go it'll probably earlier than I've ever been. The crowds are starting to get ridiculous.

I love the varied wildlife of Yellowstone, but for my 2017 trip my best photos were of an animal and a bird that I can see at home!

We had a great year of sightings. And with a new lens, I got some really great shots.

hmmmm, not seeing how to upload a photo to the forum.

Alicia, it's pretty much the same for posting pictures as it used to be. You need a photo-hosting site like Flickr or something and then copy the irl or Flickr's bb code and paste it on the forum. I always do the "preview" thing first to make sure it looks like I want.
Photobucket has become a pain to use as they want you to pay a huge amount to be able to transfer your shots to a third site like this.
I think there are many photo-hosting sites, don't know which you use.

Great shots, all the way round!! I have been gone from this page for a few years. We used to have some fun and great discussions, with the likes of Buck, Steve Torrey, etc. I got married, retired and moved in a short period of time in 2012. I happened onto Yellowstone.net and had to sign back up. I miss all the good folks and great pics, as well as the advice. I will have to figure out how to post pics again. Ya'll take care.
