I've seen Western tanagers a few times at the Hellroaring trailhead lot in spring. I wouldn't call it a "go to" area, but it's been the most common spot for sightings during my trips.

Have also seen Western Tanagers in Lamar Valley at the FootBridge area in June. They were down in the bushes by the water.
