Finally a little payoff for a very slow couple of days in the park.
At Beryl Spring, there was a coyote and a doe deer having quite a standoff. I watched for probably 45 minutes. She chased the coyote 3 times, he marked his territory, laid down a while and then went up to where the deer was. There was a little confrontation that I couldn't see too well, but suddenly the coyote was chasing her straight downhill until she jumped into the river. I think they probably stayed at it, but I left after the coyote hid himself for a bit. I thought I could see her kick at him before they came downhill, though i couldn't see an injury. I got some pictures, some blurry, and will try to post them when I get home as I just can't get the photo sharing sites to work for me now.
Other than that, there was a brown black bear with cub across the road from the Petrified Tree entrance, and there was a black bear there, too, but I only saw that one from a distance.
The Wapitis apparently had two carcasses in the western side of Hayden, way far out. They had bedded down when I was there, so I never saw them.

Re: Oct. 6, 2017 pix added And a few more

Thought I'd post a few more because I thought it was such an unusual situation with aggressive deer (who didn't seem to have any fawns with her) and a coyote that seemed to think he could take down a deer by himself.

The first standoff I saw, the deer to the left of the rock, the coyote to the right:
