Short Eared Owl, Mission Bay, San Diego. A few birds entertained city folks for over a month in February 2018.

Great pics..... I really like the GGO pics and the short ear owl flying.... Never seen one before, but always looking.... Had a Snowy Owl in the area but never found it...

The Great Gray is definitely on my wish list! All these shots are fantastic!

Holy crap! How did you get that last GGO image? Did you have the shutter speed set up especially to get him shaking his head like that or did you have a slow speed for some other reason and just got lucky?

Great capture on the owl stretching its wings. I often see the GHO's do that but have never captured it.

Rik,

Is that a single Long eared that you found. Out here in the winter desert they can congregate in groups, sometimes up to ten. Just wondering what you have in Fla.
