The Old Faithful Inn is arguably the most famous lodge in the world. Built in 1903-04, the Inn is an imposing and impressive structure that strikes awe in many first-time visitors..
The Dining Room is on the first floor, across the way from the main entrance and behind the Inn’s massive, stand-alone fireplace. Inside the Dining Room is a second fireplace (and a large, masterful painting of the geyser basin), as well as seating for 300 persons. The front half of the dining room exudes the ambiance of the lodge at large, while the far side of the room has a more open feel, and is bordered by large windows.
All three meals are served in the Old Faithful Inn Dining Room.
Breakfast is available either as a buffet or à la carte items. Choices include bacon, eggs, sausage, hashed potatoes, French toast, oatmeal, fruit, a variety of pastries, and more. No reservations are accepted for breakfast.
Lunch includes a selection of fresh salads, sandwiches, house specialties and a western buffet. The buffet features pan-grilled trout, bison chili, wild rice, pasta salad, bread, barbeque chicken, and more. No reservations are accepted for lunch.
In the evening, dinner takes the form of a buffet or specialty dishes, such as pan-seared elk medallions or carved roasted steamship round of farm-raised bison and accompaniments. Dinner reservations are recommended; visit in person or call 1-866-439-7375. Dinner reservations can be made beginning May 1 for the following year with Old Faithful Inn room reservations and 60 days in advance without Old Faithful Inn room reservations.
